June 19th

This Saturday Isabella will have reached her first half birthday! Six months old! It is incredible how much she has grown and how much she is developing. Of course, I still think she is the most brilliant baby.

She has started trying to crawl lately. She will jump up into the crawling position, put one hand forward, leap!... and then fall. And while it can sometimes get a little frustrating for her, she usually always gets the toys she is going after.

She is also sitting up. She has gone from the "tripod" sit, to being able to hold herself up. Today, I was getting so excited because she was going from being on her back to almost sitting! She would start to sit up, and get soo close and then she would just roll on her tummy. Soon though! She has also figured out that there is a bar on her crib that she can pull on. And... that if she reaches enough she can touch the characters of her mobile. It won't be too long till daddy has to lower her mattress. We can still remember when we brought her home from the hospital and she looked so small in such a big crib... and now she rolls around and spreads out like a big girl. :)

Babbling has been a lot of fun. Bella has always been kind of a talker, even if it has never made any sense. But for a couple of weeks she has been mmming and bbbing. AND.... last week she said "mama" for the first time! It is very exciting to her babble the word mama. She mainly does it when she is upset, but she has said it a couple of times while she is playing. Today she also started making a couple new sounds. Jonathan and I weren't exactly sure what they were, but I think it could be her trying to say "dada". Soon!

She has her two bottom teeth, and one of her top ones is painfully coming in. This week has been a little rough for her. Last night and tonight, Jonathan and I have had to put her in her carseat so we can drive around and let her fall asleep. We are having some trouble with napping, and her schedule has been pretty off. I think this is a big reason why we are having trouble at night. So this week we are going to really try hard to get her back on her schedule!

Father's Day is this Sunday and two weeks from then we will be celebrating Isabella's Baptisim, Jonathan's Birthday, and the 4th of July all on the same Sunday! It is going to be a busy summer, but I can't wait to share all the fun events with you guys!

Much Love!
